08 Mar ICS Experience in Heat Integration as part of CHP Installations
ICS personnel have many years’ experience in designing, installing and operating Combined Heat and Power Plants. A key element in the success of such systems is the useful recovery of the heat generated by the Gas Engine and its integration into the facility.
We have supplied systems to serve many different facilities from University Energy Centres, Hospital CHP systems and various industrial applications.
ICS can survey and identify opportunities for all types of thermal integration as part of our design process. These include LTHW, MTHW, HPHW, Steam, Chilled Water.
Furthermore, conditioned air can also be used and even pre-heated air for drying systems can be used to reduce gas use loadings on industrial drying plant if required.
Similarly, chilled air can be created to cool areas or process’s.
We have done everything from cooling fizzy drinks’ pasteurizers to popcorn cooling. We have also heated conditioner water for pet food and bread basket heated washing systems.
We can produce steam from the exhaust gases from the gas engine which can reduce gas consumption on existing fired boiler plant, and this is very common on most industrial applications.
